Threat level for Canora in this area:

Ashen Heights resides to the south of the Grand Oak Wood on the eastern island. It is a massive expanse of mountains of ranging heights, but most of it is accessible. The lower half of the cliffs are covered in grass so it remains luscious all year around, and the steeper parts are bare stone which makes them easier to climb. Along some of the valleys, there are also small streams and pools of trapped water, providing great sources of nourishment to all the packs who call this place their home.
Whilst high, steep and much more open than woodland, Ashen Heights is considerably safer than the other known mountain range, Crushskull Mountains. Unlike its cousin, Ashen Heights is actually habitable and many Canora are known to claim territory here. The range is much larger, the cliffs stretching out across the entire southern region, but the peaks aren't as high or steep. This also means that the temperature is much more comfortable. Snow rarely touches the caps, and there are plenty flat areas and valleys that welcome safe passage, rather than deathly drops and jagged cliffs. Because of the various terrain, there are also hundreds of crevices and caves that provide perfect homes for Canora. Just be careful of the fog; it is common for thick bouts of mist to roll in without warning and cover the entirety of the mountains, making it difficult to see. So watch out for the drops!
