No Canora likes to talk of this place. Pups widen their eyes with fascination at the stories, but disgruntled adults turn their noses away in disapproval. The Wastelands are a desolate and dead place, longed to be avoided and forgotten, home only to those who do not deserve reconciliation. Myths and legends say that Outcasts thrive here, those sick and twisted enough able to survive without love and compassion. A dark and dangerous wilderness, littered with the remains of the unfit and poor lost souls. Even fauna itself seems afraid of this place; not a green shrub in sight, the earth sucked dry from moisture. The sun beams down hard and unforgivingly on this vast land.

The stories are true. Canora who do not fit in with society, or those who simply disagree with pack mentality, tend to seek a home instead in the Wastelands rather than in the safety of the woods. Select Canora who show undesirable traits -- aggression and violence being the main red flags -- are also cast out here, forced to survive in this withholding landscape. The hostile nature of these individuals are exactly why Canora are warned to never dare step foot in this dreadful place. Should you enter, accept the fact that you may never return.

The land is large and flat for the most part, but elevated from the rest of the island. It gradually slopes uphill from the plains, and looks down over Boneyard Barrens. But the whole area is barricaded by rugged cliffs and rocky outcrops; impossible to scale, but provides some shelter with several crevices allowing access to caves. There are also several large rock formations of unknown origin, but these sinister looking black stones can be seen all the way from the Canora Woods, casting that constant fear to anyone who dares even glance west.
